Benefit Pop Up Shop - New Majorette blush and Christmas box of blushes

Working at a PR company often means that I get to set up exciting events, a couple of weeks ago Benefit got in contact to set up a pop up shop for us all. They showcased their new Christmas selection, offered us a 10% discount off all items and had a pop up brow bar where they could wax eyebrows and  tint lashes! It was fair to say that it was a good Friday....

One of the items I have really been looking forward to purchasing was their new blush Majorette, I have read so many blog posts about how amazing it is and I always love a peachy blush as I think it suits my skin tone really well. This blush retails for a price of £23.50 and I think that it is pricey, however this is such a versatile product that I personally think it's worth it. You can either wear this by itself for a pop of colour on the cheeks or you can wear it underneath another blush to amplify the colour, pigmentation and provide longer staying power. I have been using this both ways and think that it works just as well either way depending on what look you want. It is a creamy blush and as I have combination skin sometimes my face can get oily so I was slightly worried about that, but actually it dries like a powder and is completely matte  after a couple of seconds. I think this would suit so many skintones and I really do recommend it if you are looking to try out a new blush product. On a side note I know these aren't the most important factors but I think the packaging is sooo cute and the scent is absolutely lovely as well, so a winner all round.

Another item that also caught my eye was one of the new Christmas gift sets that Benefit have brought out this year. This is the Cheeky Sweet Spot Box of Blushes and retails for £29.50, it is such a steal product as normally a seperate blush from Benefit will cost you £23.50.

This set includes 5 blushes (Dandelion, Bella Bamba, Sugarbomb, Corlalista and Rockateur), a bronzer (Hoola) and a highlight shade (Watt's Up!), it also provides a small brush. I have already tried out the majority of the blushes before but I love how there are a few in the set that I haven't used like Rockateur and Sugarbomb, I was also really excited that they have included the highlight and bronzer as I think this will be a useful kit to travel with as there are three face products in one palette. All of the blushes are very pigmented and have great colour pay off, the bronzer is also one of my favourites to use!

Above are some swatches of what each product looks like on my skin, from top to bottom we have: Rockateur, Coralista, Hoola, Sugarbomb, Bella Bamba, Dandelion and then Majorette. I hope you have enjoyed reading this post and have found it useful if you was thinking about buying some new cheek products, what are your favourites to use? xxx

Muji Storage and Make Up Collection 2014

After having a little clear out of my make up drawer the other day I realised that A LOT of the items I didn't use enough. I think this was purely because I couldn't see everything I had to alternate between as most of my make up was completely hidden away in make up bags etc.

I decided to look into getting some new storage which meant that most of the products I own would be fully on display in my bedroom, so I would be able to choose between different products every single day and not get stuck in a rut with a same old make up routine. I was searching for hours on the internet for storage, and although the storage I came across looked amazing.. they were all just so expensive.

I had never heard of MUJI before looking on their website and after having a glimpse at the acrylic drawer boxes I knew I had to buy one. This storage was identical to other ones I had seen online but just a fraction of the price. In the end I went for the Acrylic 5 drawer box for just £24.95 which is a good size to hold almost all of my make up (apart from a few lipsticks, my foundations and big loose powders). As soon as my make up collection grows though I am sure I will purchase more of this storage as I have fallen in love with it!

As you can see from the picture above, this storage has five different compartment drawers which allows me to separate out my make up into groups. This makes it so easy in the morning when I'm getting ready for work or a day out as I don't have to spend ages going through make up bags to find one product. I literally just open up one of the drawers and can see everything. I also think that it will help to use up the products better as you can keep a track on how long you've had a piece of make up for.

I tend to keep my favourite YSL lipsticks on the top of the storage as I use these the most and normally take one colour in my bag for the day, this is also where I keep my eyeshadow palettes as they don't fit in a drawer. All of my foundations are to the right of the storage in my Ted Baker make up bag along with any loose powders that I have, my Urban Decay setting spray and my make up brush cleaner. My make up brushes are kept separately, however I do want to find some storage for these so I can put them with my make up.

My make up is roughly organised at the moment, so in my top drawer I have all lipsticks, lipglosses and chubby sticks.

In  my second drawer is most of my mascaras and then some lip balms and butters that didn't fit in the top drawer.

Third drawer down I have my eye products so eyeliners, eyeshadow sticks, brow products, eye primers, eye shadows and my tweezers.

My fourth drawer is one of my favourites as it has most of my blushes in and my bronzers, along with a tint blush.

And then my final drawer has my concealers in, some BB creams and then primers and highlights.

I hope this has helped you if you are looking to organise and sort out your make up drawers like I was. Muji is definitely the first place I will look from now on and I'm really excited about growing my make up collection futher. Thank you for reading and let me know in the comments how you store all of your make up. xxx

Marc Jacobs beauty collection

When I went to New York in April with my boyfriend one of the first things I knew I had to purchase was some of the Marc Jacobs beauty collection which I found in Sephora (my favourite shop!). Although this beauty range was fairly new I had already seen countless bloggers and youtubers talking about the eyeshadow palette below - The Lolita 206. The colours in this palette are some of the prettiest, girly shades and work so well with one another to achieve either a matte day time look or a sparkly going out eye.

At 59 dollars this is certainly not a cheap product but I think the classic eyeshadows won't go 'out of season', each shade is really wearable and out of the seven eyeshadows there is not one colour in the palette that I dislike or don't think I will get use out of. I think the simple packaging makes the products look so luxurious and beautiful and is definitely very well made so you know there is no chance of it breaking. It also comes in a little sleeve which you can keep it in to keep the palette nice and clean.

I have swatched each shadow below so you can see what they look like on the skin, I don't think the shades have names as they are not stated on the palette anywhere. I really like how there is a selection of mattes and shimmers/glitters as so many different looks can be put together. The matte shades are very buttery against the skin and glide on without any creasing and the glitters are also very smooth, although for the price I do wish they were slightly more pigmented. It can take a while for the glitter/shimmer shades to notice on the lids, however they are very buildable so you can put layer after layer on.

Overall, I am so happy with this beautiful palette. This was a massive splurge for me and I think I will be waiting a while until I buy another Marc Jacobs palette, although 'The Dreamer' one has recently caught my eye as it is lovely shades of pinks and golds so that could be on my Christmas wishlist!

The other Marc Jacobs product I bought while in NYC was this gorgeous Shameless Powder Blush in the shade Promiscuous 214. I can't get enough of this rosy pink shade, it is one of the most pigmented blushes I have tried and completely worth the 30 dollars as I have used this so much since purchased and it looks barely touched. You need the tiniest bit of product and it comes out so bright and vibrant on the cheeks, it looks incredible even with the tiniest amount of make up on the skin as it gives you that 'naturally flushed' look.

There are 10 shades of these blushes to pick from and looking at the website I honestly want to try every single one, they are all such rich colours which would work so well with every skintone. I have swatched the shade I purchased below which shows you how pigmented the product is. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a high end blush as I don't think you could be disappointed by this product.

Hopefully I will be able to try more of the range soon, although it is fairly pricey and there are lots of other equally as nice cheaper brands out there. Have you tired anything by the Marc Jacobs beauty collection? I would love to know your thoughts! xxx

Tanya Burr's Lipglosses

I've honestly been meaning to write this blog post for ages as I picked up my first lipgloss of Tanya's about 4 months or so ago.

The first shade I went for from the range of 12 lipglosses was the colour 'chic'. I love nude, pinky lip products sooo much and for me this was the PERFECT shade of nude. I would say it has a coral-y, peachy shade to it as well which just makes me love it even more. I purchased mine in Superdrug and picked it up for £6.99, I think the products were on 3 for 2 however so I also chose two of her nail varnishes as well (Which I also love the formula of!).

A lot of nude lip products I love look completely beautiful in the tube and then when I try them on they are completely sheer and have no colour to them. This product couldn't be more opposite, although it's a nude shade it has such amazing pigmentation and I literally just needed one coat to cover my lips in this gorgeous colour. The formula as well is perfect for me.. it is non sticky and lasts up to 4 hours on the lips. I posted a photo of me on my instagram wearing this 'chic' shade and used the hashtag #TanyaBurrCosmetics and was lucky enough to be featured on Tanya's blog!! I have posted this photo below just in case you wanted to see what the colour looks like on my lips. If you want to see the full blog post Tanya created then click the link here >> http://www.tanyaburr.co.uk/?blog=blogs/archive/2014/05/21/tanya.burr.cosmetics.aspx.

Considering I loved her 'chic' gloss so much I'm sure it would come as no surprise to you that I also purchased 'just peachy' and 'picnic in the park' as well which are also both completely to die for! Another thing which everyone loves about these lipglosses is their scent, they smell really fruity and fresh, almost exactly like my favourite sweets strawberry laces. They honestly tick every box for a lipgloss so if you can get your hands on one of these I would definitely recommend trying them currently as they are all £4.66 in Superdrug stores (which is a complete bargain considering they feel like high end products).

Above is a picture of the swatches of each colour that I have so you can see what they look like on the skin, this is literally one sweep of each so you can see how pigmented they are. From left to right we have Just Peachy, Chic and then Picnic in the Park. I am definitely looking forward to purchasing more of these lip products as it will be interesting to see what the darker shades are like and how they perform.

I think the packaging is really sleek and looks like a high end product. I love the fact that you can can see exactly what colour the lip product is before you buy it and you can see how much product you have left because of the see through tube. I hope you have enjoyed reading about Tanya Burr's lip products and it has given you a little insight into what the glosses are like. Let me know what shades you have tried and whether you love them as much as I do!

August favourites 2014

There are quite a few products I have been using throughout August so it was hard to narrow it down to my favourite 6 items, however these are the products I have used the most and near enough every single day for my everyday make up and skincare routine.

Antipodes - Grace Gentle cream cleanser
I'm absolutely obsessed with cream cleansers and have wanted to try this this organic Antipodes one for quite a while. This was on the pricey side at around £24, however I think it's definitely worth the price tag as it has really improved my skin texture and cleared the impurities that were on my face. I have been using this with a muslin cloth and the combination of the two work really well together at thoroughly removing all make up. This will be a product that I will repurchase again and I'm very excited about ordering some more items from the Antipodes range.

Estee Lauder - Double wear foundation in 2C1 Pure beige
I have been using this foundation for a couple of months now on and off but this month I have been wearing it almost every single day. It is an extremely high coverage foundation and you literally just need the tiniest amount to cover all imperfections. It is quite a thick consistency and very fast drying so you have to buff it in quickly to achieve that flawless look, I work it in to one section at a time so it doesn't look patchy. This is a foundation that would be perfect for anyone with oily/combination skin.

Barry M - Bold black waterproof eyeliner
This eyeliner is the most pigmented liner I have ever used! I love gel liners as well but find them hard to use so having the gel in a pencil form is perfect to achieve that cat eye flick without getting the product everywhere. The only downside of this product for me is that it can smudge after a few hours on the eye so I wouldn't say it's very long lasting.

Tarte - Amazonian butter lipstick in Angelic nude
I LOVE this lipstick, it is my perfect nude lip currently and I have been wearing it every day as I am so obsessed. It is completely moisturising and buttery as the name would suggest and it smells like mint which gives it a very fresh, cooling feeling on the lips. I love how the lipstick is completely organic and think that the packaging looks so cute. I just wish it was easier to purchase tarte products in the UK.

Rimmel - Exaggerate full colour lip liner in 18 Addiction
I have been pairing this lip liner with my tarte lipstick and I honestly think they look amazing together. I have never particularly worn a lip liner before although I think from now on it will be a staple for me as they make my lips look so much fuller and shaped. Although I've been using this combination together, I do think that this liner will be easy to use with most other products as it is a natural lip colour.

Maybelline - The colossal go extreme volume mascara in very black
I am a big fan of Maybelline mascaras so the fact that I bought this and loved it did not surprise me, I love the falsies mascara and would say that I prefer this colossal one as it adds more volume. I think this gives a dramatic look and makes my lashes look so much longer than they actually are. This provides a great look for a night out and I think it is great value for money. I will continue to repurchase Maybelline mascaras as I think they are great quality.

Benefit Instant BROW pencil

A couple of year ago I discovered the totally amazing browzings by benefit which completely changed my brow life! So ...I didn't hesitate (in the slightest) to buy benefits new instant brow pencil in the hope that this lived up to the high expectations I had for it.

And it definitely didn't disappoint... It feels more like a gel than a pencil as the texture is so smooth and glides on very gently. It gives off a very natural look and isn't too heavy like other pencils I've tried which tend to look slightly unnatural and dark. If you mark the pencil in the wrong place you can smudge it off really easily. This comes as a surprise to me since it has long staying power throughout the day on my brows so I'm assuming it must attach on slightly to the brow hairs themselves.

Could probably do with sharpening mine now, Well loved product right there!

I wouldn't say I prefer it to the browzings powder as they are both very different products. I think the powder gives a very natural look for day to day wear, where as this is slightly more of a waxy feel on the brows and to me seems like it would work better if I was going for a more dramatic make up look. I think it would be perfect for a night out when you have eyeshadows/eyeliner on and wanted to make sure your eyebrows didn't look too light in comparison (particularly in photos).

The real winner for me with this product is the little spoolie (see photo above) on one side of the pencil. I have never tried brushing  through my brows with anything before and it honestly does really help with shaping them before applying any brow products. You can almost sculpt them into any shape that you want as you have full control of what way your eyebrow hairs go. It also helps with taming them and making sure there are no fly away hairs so your brows can look as perfect as you want them to!

Have you tried this instant brow pencil or any other brow products from Benefit? Let me know what you think in the comments. xxx

Rimmel Lip Swatches...

Up until recently I had never tired any of the Rimmel lip products available, I was more of a high end lip product girl and stuck with my ever faithful YSL rouge volupte lipstick. However, after swatching a few of the Rimmel lipsticks I realised that I had seriously been missing out on some amazing products. There was a few offers on at Boots, so (like always) I took full advantage and picked up three lipsticks from the Rimmel moisture renew collection and then another two lipsticks from the Kate Moss range.

It would come as no surprise to tell you that all of the colours I picked out were pinks, nudes and corals. Although if you did want to go for some brighter colours/darker shades and be braver than me there was a wide selection in both of the ranges for you to do so. What I love about both of these ranges (and in particular the moisture renew collection) is that these lip products are completely moisturising and do not dry out your lips like so many other brands that I have tried before.

I would definitely recommend these products for you to try as they have such a wide range of colours for everyone to choose from, they feel moisturising on the lips and are such great value for money. From Boots the moisture renew lipsticks are £6.49 and the Kate Moss lipsticks are £5.49, but like I said earlier Boots nearly always have an offer on for everyone to use.

Current favourite foundation base...

A perfect base is essential for making sure the rest of your make-up applies flawlessly. I have been using the combination below now for around 2 months and have found that these products work really well together. These three items seem to work perfectly on my combination skin as they have great staying power, without them looking too matte or cakey.

This L'oreal lumi magique light infusing foundation (in shade rose porcelain) provides a nice dewy finish and definitely makes the skin look brighter than usual. I apply one to two pumps of this on a day to day basis and I personally think it gives a medium coverage to the skin. I also really like the packaging of the product, as it looks high end from the glass case and the rose gold pump and detailing.

I do have blemishes and marks on the skin that the foundation doesn't quite cover. So I use my NARS radiant creamy concealer (in light 2 vanilla) to make sure my skin tone is completely even. I am completely in love with this concealer as it gives such high coverage and is extremely easy to blend without the creasing that occurs when I use other concealers.

This base would not be complete without applying powder for me, due to my combination skin this foundation would be too oily for me to use alone. However, I do think people with a drier skin type would be able to get away without the powder. I have been using the CHANEL natural finish loose powder (in 25 peche clair) which is a loose powder that provides slight colour to the skin. This works so perfectly in blurring imperfections and definitely gives off that perfect finish. I would say that I can go without touching up for around 8 hours when using this powder as it is good at controlling oil, however it does not give your skin that tight/drying effect either.

Herbal Essences - Moroccan my shine

Herbal Essences isn't usually a hair brand I would pick up in stores, but these little numbers caught my eye. I picked them up, smelt them and the next thing I knew I was heading straight over to the tills. I think this is my ideal scent for a hair product... it's completely fruity with hints of coconut and it is extremely long lasting!

Although I loved the scent, if I'm being honest I didn't really expect to love the product. BUT, these products are now a hair staple for me... they make my hair so soft and easy to style. What I love the most is that using these products means I can leave my hair to dry naturally after a wash without worrying my hair is going to turn into a complete frizz ball. (Which is a miracle if I'm being honest).

I love Moroccan oil products but usually find the scent quite overpowering, however this is a really subtle smell AND they still have the brilliant benefits of the oil. I think these are amazing products and I will continue to repurchase them again and again - it also helps that they are complete and utter bargains! I picked my bottles up from boots for only £3.79 each and I would say they are definitely on par with some of the higher end hair products I have tried.

I can't wait to try out some of the other Herbal Essences products. What is your favorite hair product?

April Beauty Favourites 2014

I haven't posted a blog in quite a while... so I thought I would keep things simple with a beauty favourites post where you can see what I have been loving for the past couple of months.

In March I took a trip to NYC and went in a number of Sephoras....(and became a VIB customer within a week but that's a whole other story). I decided to splash out on a clarisonic which I have wanted for ages! I feel like this is every cleansing addicts dream, it removes make up you didn't even realise was still on your skin and just generally leaves your face feeling so so soft. I use it every other day now and honestly couldn't live without it, it will continue to be a true staple in my skincare routine for a long long time from now on.

Next up is my cupcake face mask from lush. I have read a lot of reviews around this product for ages now, so when I finally got my hands on a pot in lush the other day I knew I had to buy it. I have only used it twice but I already know it is my favourite face mask by far. First of all, it smells like chocolate so to me is an instant winner. Putting the mask on is smooth and creamy and it doesn't drop off your face making a mess like most other masks do. But taking it off is when you notice the difference.. my skin just looked so bright and fresh and my pores were almost invisible. It didn't irritate my skin either which I usually have a problem with... seriously, go out and buy this! I couldn't recommend it more.

Another product I've been loving is my got2b guardian angel heat protection. I use this on wet hair after I apply my its a 10 treatment and think that the two products work really well together. This doesn't make your hair greasy either so I wouldn't say you have to be particularly careful in applying this like you do with other hair products. I haven't tried any other items from this brand but after trying this I want to try the whole collection!

My skin has been quite dry at the moment so I have been trying to avoid using a harsh toner that will irritate my skin further. I love the body shop vitamin E range so thought I would try their hydrating toner and see how it worked out. It's a really soothing feeling on the skin after cleansing and I really like how moisturising it feels. I also love how natural all the body shop products are so you know you are giving your skin a real nourishing treat.

I normally tend to wear a more high end blusher as I love pigmented colours on my cheeks. I feel that I can never find the perfect blusher in the drugstore.. however, I have been LOVING the lasting finish soft colour blush by Rimmel in the shade 020 (Pink rose). First of all, let me start off by saying this was less than the £5 mark so a bargain as far as I'm concerned. It isn't the normal peachy colour that I tend to go for but I love that it is a soft pigmented rose shade with a shimmer to it. For me, it is a perfect no fuss blush and I love how the shimmer looks like a highlight so saves me having to use two products. Partly why this blush looks so perfect on the cheeks is because I have been applying it with a real techniques stippling brush. This brush picks up just the right amount of product and I feel like it is the perfect size to sweep along my cheeks. A perfect combination.

My last favourites of the month are the beautiful colour riche l'ombre pure shadows from L'oreal. Oh my.. now let me just say the pictures do not do these shades justice. These are the most rich, pigmented shadows I have ever used. The three I bought in particular (107 macaron vanille, 600 opalescent, 204 golden nude) work so well together and give you the perfect 'party' eyes. I have been using macaron vanille as an all over shadow, the golden nude colour on my crease and opalescent in the inner corners of my eyes and then near my brows. I absolutely love macaron vanille as it is a matte beige and wearing it alone just brightens up the eye area and looks very natural for day time wear. I can't wait to pick up more colours in these shadows as they are great value for money as well!

I hope you have enjoyed my April favourites, what have been your favourite items of the month?

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Impressions

HOT CLOTH CLEANSER

Naturally Active Skincare

So I caved and I bought one of the most used and well known about cleansers in the hope that this would become one of my all time favourites. This cleanser would be the ideal favourite skincare product for me because I think it is quite cheap considering how popular it is and it is easy to buy and get hold of (Yay to it now being stocked in Boots along with the rest of the Liz Earle skincare range). I literally could not wait to get home and try this little gem out on my skin! When I first pumped it out of the bottle I thought how similar it looked to my most favourite pai cleanser. It is a very creamy and smooth texture and looks extremely luxurious. The smell as well is the most divine thing about the product in my opinion, it smells so herbal and refreshing and using this product definitely makes you feel like your skin is refreshed and revitalised. The mixture of all the natural ingredients in this cleanser like rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus oil is definitely one of the best combinations I've ever come across. I can't get enough of this scent!

Creamy texture of the Cleanse and Polish

I have now used this cleanser for around three months so I can give my honest opinion on why I like and dislike this product and how I use it on a day to day basis. I only used one pump when I first bought it on a full face of makeup to see how the product worked, I also used this on my mascara as well. It definitely didn't get all my make off as I had to go over my face with a second pump and then even after removing that with the muslin cloth I could still see remains of my foundation and mascara. I would say it's defiantly a good idea to cleanse before you use this product so you know that all make up is removed entirely and you have a completely squeaky clean face to work moisturisers/lotions into.

I don't know whether it was the Liz Earle cleanser but for the first few days of using this I did break out over my forehead area, however after persisting and continuing to use the product I found that my skin went back to normal again. Maybe it was the purging stage of using the product, I'm not entirely sure?! However, I haven't broken out since then so I'm assuming my skin was just getting use to the new ingredients.

I did notice that this cleanser in my opinion is probably more useful to people with combination/oilier skin types as it didn't particularly dry out my skin but I did see a decrease in the amount of oil on my skin throughout the day. I would say my make up stayed on for a few hours longer than normal as I had a lot less oil production around my t-zone. Therefore, I think people with dryer skin types might find this makes their skin too dry and find that it leaves them with that tight feeling. I have combination skin and feel like this works best when I use this just in the morning rather than at morning and then at night time as well. Using this in the morning means my face is shine/oil free the entire day and using a different cleanser at night means my entire makeup is removed, which would not happen with this cleanser alone.

Overall, I have some seriously mixed opinions on this product. I wouldn't say I'm overly impressed with this Liz Earle cleanser as I was expecting a lot due to everything I've heard, but everyone does has different skin types and maybe this just didn't work best for me personally. It has so many raved reviews I really am surprised that this is not my number 1. I think I will continue buying this product purely because it does help my foundation stay on all day and I do like using it in the mornings, however usually I do prefer a more moisturising cleanser at night and would choose my pai cleanser over this! If anyone has tried the Liz Earle cleanser and does feel the same way as me about it I would suggest trying one of the pai cleansers as the texture is very similar and it also has a very strong herbal scent.

Have you tried this liz Earle product? Let me know by leaving a comment.

Soap & Glory - No Clogs Allowed

Super Self Heating

Deep Pore Detox Mask

Okay, so I really want to keep this short and sweet and if there is one thing I can suggest you do after reading this blog it is GO OUT AND BUY THIS PRODUCT! So recently I've heard more and more about the soap & glory skincare range and how amazing it is, so I was walking around boots and came across this little beauty and instantly was drawn in. Recently my nose area has been getting really oily and when my foundation slides off I can really notice the blackheads and pores, so a product that helps detox my face I'm going to be seriously interested in! Since my skin can be slightly sensitive I was a bit wary about the 'super self heating' part of this mask because I have tried others in the past that have irritated my skin, but honestly this product is really nothing to worry about. This product claims to be for oily/combination skin and I do agree with this, as although this product is not super drying, it does leave my skin feeling completely oil free. All I need when applying this is a small dollop of this creamy product which I then massage into my skin mainly focusing on my t-zone. I wet my hands and continuing massaging the cream scrub in and it starts to heat up on my face, I love the feeling of this self heating mask as it feels like it is really getting every last trace of dirt from my pores. I really feel like this product DOES work. After my first use I saw a noticeable difference in the pores on my nose, they looked smaller and I had less blackheads on my face. It also leaves my skin with this super silky feeling, my skin literally feels so so smooth after I leave this on my face for a five minute treatment. I have tried quite a few skincare masks in the past and this really does beat them all for me.. I will continue using this in my skincare routine once or twice a week and hopefully this will continue to improve my skin week after week.

Pros:
- Cheap product, bought mine from Boots for around the £7 mark
- Helped improved the pores on my face
- Silky smooth feeling after use
- Love the squeeze tube packaging as you know how much product you have left
- Lots of product, 100ml
- Self heating, feels like a mini facial
- Suitable for sensitive skin
- Feels like a luxury skincare product

Cons:
- Smell isn't particularly nice but not a massive issue for me
- Would have to be a product used in the bath/shower, could get messy

January Beauty Favourites 2014

SKINCARE, SCENTS & MAKE UP

I literally feel like this month has flown by sooo quickly, I don't even feel like I've had that much time to investigate new products. However, I do have a few new buys to show to you and the rest are items that I have re-discovered and fell in love with all over again. So starting from the left hand side and first up is THE LITTLE BUBBLE CO bubble bath in coconut creme, I have tried most of the other scents as well and they are the most luxurious smelling bath products that I have ever come across, especially for the price of £2.99. I will be non stop re purchasing these over and over again. Next up is a fresh essentials scrub from GARNIER , I like how it buffs away any dead/dry skin on my face but isn't too harsh (just the right combination).  The next product I had to include purely because I think this has been my favourite scent for the past 4/5 years now, it is the ESCADA perfume in rockin rio. It is quite a summery scent but I can literally wear this all year round and never get bored of it, hence why I purchased the biggest bottle I could find! Another product I have been in love with is the GARNIER micellar cleansing water, I would even go as far to say that I like it slightly more than the L'oreal water. You get double the product and I would say it is more effective in taking off my make up, for £4.99 you really can't say no to this. Up next is an O.P.I AVOJUICE in coconut and melon, it is a hand and body lotion and is literally the most perfect moisturiser for me. I don't have dry skin so I wouldn't say I need a lot of moisturiser, I apply this product and it soaks straight up into my skin and doesn't leave me feeling greasy, it literally dries straight away. And the scent of this lotion is honestly soooo good, I spray my escada perfume over this and the two scents work so well together. The next two products are my make up favourites, first of all I have the MAYBELLINE superstay 24 hour foundation which I have been using for the whole month. I would say it's quite a light coverage foundation and normally I do prefer more coverage, however the lasting power and control it has of the oils on my face is really effective. I will continue to use this product, although I am still on the hunt for my #1 foundation. The second beauty product I have is my CARMEX vanilla ultra moisturising lip balm, this is probably my best favourite of January. I have never had a lip balm that works as well as this, my lips are completely smooth within ten minutes or so after applying this and I am completely addicted. Before I was using the Dior lip balm but from now on I will be forever buying this carmex product, especially considering this is like quarter of the price!

What are your January favourites? x
